Open your Chat
Tap your profile picture at the top left corner of the chat. Tap settings in the drop-down menu that pops up. Scroll all the way down and tap Chat Settings at the bottom of the list. Select hide my online status. Your online status is no longer displayed and your contacts can’t tell whether you are online or not. You can still see other people’s online statuses, but they won’t be able to see yours. The default setting is off. That means your online status will be shown and everyone will know if you’re online or not.
Select Settings
Open Settings and scroll down until you find the User and Account option. Tap that, then select Accounts. Next, tap on your desired account, then tap Active. Finally, tap Inactive at the bottom of the screen. You will know if you have succeeded when no text is next to the account’s name in the Active column. To activate this account again should be simple: just open Settings and make sure that your account is showing as Active under Accounts.
Go To Account & Privacy
To hide your account, open the app and tap your profile photo in the top left. This will bring up a menu. Tap Settings from this list and scroll down until you see Privacy. At the bottom of the list is an option to ‘Hide my account’. Tap this option and enter your password.
The next time you log into your phone, all traces of your WhatsApp account will be gone. Your contacts won’t know what happened unless they were also using WhatsApp at that time.
Tap on the Three Dots at the Top Right Corner
First of all, you will have to go to the setting option in your Whatsapp and then select Privacy. After this, you will see the Settings options where you need to toggle the switch next to Show ‘Last Seen’. After that, tap the edit button. Here you will see an option named Self Destruct that has been added recently. Tap on it and a small dialogue box pops up wherein you can write a password for your account so that it becomes invisible permanently. You must remember the password because if you forget it then there is no way out. Keep in mind that once you hide your account using this feature then there is no way for someone to contact you on Whatsapp anymore or even see when were online last time or when were offline.
Under Privacy, select Privacy from People Who Can Contact You
Most people will never need this setting, but it does come in handy for those who want to protect their privacy and give just a few contacts access to their accounts.
To do so, tap on the three dots and select Settings (you’ll find it in the menu that pops up). In the Settings menu that pops up, tap Privacy. In this window, select Blocked Contacts from one of the tabs at the top. You can now add contacts as needed by tapping the Add Person button. For example, you may want to block your ex-boyfriend or girlfriend’s number. You can also block any numbers with which you receive unwanted messages or calls.
When you’re finished, scroll down and press Done.
Hide Apps
First of all, open the Settings app. Tap Apps and then tap Default Apps at the top of the screen. Here, you can set your default messaging app and which one will handle file types like music, photos, and videos. Select WhatsApp as your default messaging app. For file types, select Photos, Videos, and Music so that these options only appear when you open an app from a WhatsApp message (like from an attachment)
